The Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Series Begins!

The end of the Scarlet & Violet Era is near! After Black Bolt & White Flare we can expect Mega Evolution's!

During today's Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company International revealed the start of the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution Series. Mega Evolution Pokémon last appeared in the Pokémon TCG in the XY Series and Sun & Moon Series, but these new Mega Evolution Pokémon each come with their own exciting and unique strengths. Check out the video below for a first look at Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex.

Mega Evolutions are known as “the evolution that transcends evolution” for Pokémon, and these new cards capitalize on that. In Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution, you’ll encounter Mega-Evoluton Pokémon ex that have pushed themselves beyond their limits to become even more powerful. In exchange for higher HP and stronger attacks that surpass those of regular Pokémon ex, these Pokémon allow your opponent to grab three Prize Cards when they’re knocked out. This adds variety to the Prize Card trading experience and adds depth to the strategy of the Pokémon TCG.

The expected launch of this ERA will be towards the end of 2025!

Next year we can of course also expect the new Celebrations, this for the 30th year of Pokémon. So much to look forward to!
