Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration is the anniversary set marking the 30th birthday of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It released worldwide on September 16, 2026 and is not a regular expansion: every card in a booster pack is foil, there are 30 different Pikachu cards to find, and classics from the game's history are back. In this guide you'll read everything about 30th Celebration: what's in the boosters, which products are available and which cards collectors are chasing.
30th Celebration is a special set built around 30 years of Pokémon. Where a regular set is mostly about new cards for the game, the focus here is on collecting and nostalgia. The main set has 128 cards, plus secret rares. The set also introduces a new rarity: the Futuristic Rare.
Another highlight is the Classic Collection: reprints of famous cards from Pokémon TCG history, such as Charizard and Lugia. A note for players: these classic cards are not legal in the Standard format. They are meant for collecting.
30th Celebration boosters are smaller than those of a regular set, but everything inside shines. Each pack contains:
The highlight for many collectors: each of the 30 Pikachu cards was drawn by a different artist. With exactly one in every pack, completing the Pikachu series is a challenge in itself. Great for trading with friends.
A large range of products released around the set. At RubyGator you'll find, among others:

For many collectors the Elite Trainer Box is the starting point. You get 9 30th Celebration booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo card, 65 sleeves, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, dice, a coin and a sturdy box with six dividers to store your cards.
The Pokémon Center version goes a step further: it contains 11 booster packs and two Nidorina promos, one of them stamped with the Pokémon Center logo.

If you're a collector, 30th Celebration is one of the most special sets in years. Every card is foil, the 30 Pikachu make collecting a fun challenge and the Classic Collection brings back memories of the game's early days. If you mainly play competitively, the set matters less: the classic cards are not legal in Standard.
