Riftbound: The Reckoning – everything about set 7 (April 2027)

Riftbound: Legacy isn't even out yet, but Riot Games has already revealed the set after it: Riftbound: The Reckoning. It is the seventh set of the League of Legends TCG and releases on 30 April 2027. In this article you'll read what is already known about the cards, the new Legends and the products, and how The Reckoning fits into the Riftbound schedule for 2027.

Riftbound: The Reckoning at a glance

The set's tagline is Awaken the Ancients. The theme: ancient, dormant giants waking up again. Riot promises the set revolves around some of the biggest Champions in League of Legends.

The new Legends in The Reckoning

Riot has already revealed five of the new Legends:

• Aurelion Sol
• Cho'Gath
• Shyvana
• Vayne
• Zilean

Four more new Legends will be revealed later. Notably, Riot says the theme of The Reckoning is closely aligned with that of Legacy. How exactly is still a secret: more will be explained in the first State of the Game of 2027.

Which The Reckoning products are coming?

The product line looks similar to earlier sets. This is confirmed:

• Booster packs and Booster Displays. The official image shows a 14-card booster pack.
• Champion Decks for Shyvana and Vayne.
• Vault Bundle.
• Pre-Rift kits for the events in the week before release.

Riot hasn't said yet how many boosters come in a display or in the Vault Bundle. As soon as the full product information is known, we'll update this article.

What does The Reckoning mean for players and collectors?

• Players: the Shyvana and Vayne Champion Decks will be the easiest way to play the new Legends right away, without opening lots of boosters first.
• Collectors: with 67 Showcase cards out of 264, there is plenty to hunt for again. Protect your best pulls straight away in a sleeve and toploader.
• Pre-Rift: want to be among the first to play the set? Keep the week of 23 April 2027 free for a Pre-Rift event at a participating store.

Liam's tip: “Sleeve them up!” Put your Showcase cards and other great pulls in a sleeve right after opening, so they don't get scratched.

The Riftbound schedule for 2027

The Reckoning isn't the only release next year. Riot has announced a full calendar:

Riot has already shared a little about set 8: it takes place in Bandle City, home of the Yordles. Which Champions are in it is still a secret. Nothing is known yet about set 9.
